Amanda Rigo: Speech Pathologist - B Speech Pathology (CPSP)
Mandy graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland in 2009. Since graduating, Amanda has worked with the Department of Education and Training and in various private practice settings, while also being at home and Mum to two wonderful boys. She is currently undertaking her Masters in Early Childhood Education. Mandy is passionate about early speech and language development, supporting and collaborating with parents and caregivers to achieve positive outcomes with therapy. She is experienced in understanding the role of oral language and literacy within the classroom environment and advocating for students to access support and intervention. She is trained, and is an advocate for the Sounds-Write approach to literacy instruction. Mandy is currently studying a Masters in Early Childhood Education to support her understanding and knowledge of child development and the role educators play in supporting young children experiencing communication difficulties. Mandy is registered member of Speech Pathology Australia and a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) Mandy is a Mum to two young boys and has a passion for developing language and literacy skills through shared storybook reading (ask her for a recommendation!). She is passionate about the engaging clients and their families in targeted (but realistic) interventions to support a child’s development across speech development, language development and communication skills.
